Air France KLM Martinair Cargo charter solutions

In addition to our skeleton, full-freighter and trucking network, we also offer several charter solutions. Here’s some more information about each of the three options. 


1. Full freighter charter

You can charter on one of our full-freighter aircraft (B747 and B777). For prices and network options, please contact your Air France KLM Martinair Cargo sales manager or your local customer service.

2. Passenger wide body belly charter

You can also charter on one of our passenger wide body belly aircraft. For prices you can fill out this web form and the charter desk will get back to you.

3. KickCharter

What is it?

KickCharter is our shared charter solution enabling you to share a wide body belly charter with other customers to one or more of our selected destinations. KickCharter allows multiple forwarders to ship to destinations not included in our current summer network. By combining shipment requests, we can offer more competitive charter prices. You can choose the flight, but it will only operate if sufficient capacity is sold before the deadline set for each charter. For now, we´re kicking off with a pilot. How does it work?

Once you have a personal link, you can access the KickCharter platform anytime. Here you will find a selection of lower-deck destinations each with a fixed price per pallet. If your pallet weighs more than 3 tonnes, an “over pivot rate” will be applied. You can only participate with full pallets.

Commitment & Withdrawal 

A deadline will be shown for each destination – usually around 7 days before departure. You can withdraw before the deadline by revisiting the KickCharter platform using your personal link. After the deadline, you will be committed to the registered pallets. Once the deadline has passed and if a sufficient number of customers register, AFKLMP Cargo will arrange the aircraft, its crew and the necessary flight permits. Once this is taken care of, air waybills will be created and the final booking details will be shared with you.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Where can I find the link to participate?

A: Participation will be possible using a unique link, which you will receive by email. If you have not yet received an email, please contact your local sales manager. If you have lost your link, please contact the KickCharter desk.

Q: Can I ask customer service to register for me?

A: No, because participation is legally binding and you need to agree to the terms and conditions. You therefore have to register yourself and accept the terms and conditions online. If the flight can be operated, a dedicated internal team will make your booking.

Q: Which flights will be launched?

A: KickCharter does not include all full-freighter flights; it is for WBB charter only. Please log in to see the latest updates.

Q: When does the reservation become a booking?

A: After the deadline, your participation cannot be withdrawn. Your participation will be converted to a booking after the feasibility check, permits and slot requests. Once the flight is in the system, the KickCharter team will convert it to a normal booking. This will be between done by D-5 / D-3.

Q: What happens if the flight is under-booked by the deadline?

A: The flight will not be operated in such a case. The KickCharter desk will inform you accordingly by email.

Q: How will I be informed if a particular KickCharter is cancelled while shipments have already been booked?

A: There are different scenarios:
  • Cancelled before participation deadline – no booking, only a registration;
  • Participation deadline closes due to insufficient number of participants - no booking, only a registration;
  • Flight confirmed, but cannot be operated due to last minute changes in permits, slots or
  • regulations. 


In all cases, you will be informed by the KickCharter desk.

Q: How does payment work?

A: Payments will be made based on the standard process.

Q: Who can I contact if I have questions?

Q: Will I know if the flight will be operated at the point the deadline is reached?

A: No, at that point we will carry out several final checks based on participation. We will inform you within two working days as to whether or not we will be able to operate the flight.

Q: Full pallets, does that mean BUPs only?

A: No. Although we prefer to receive BUPs, if you are unable to do so, you can also deliver loose. However, loose cargo must fit onto one ULD and we will only offer capacity per 10m3 (equivalent of 1 LDP).

Q: When and how can I cancel my booking?

A: You can cancel your registration by sending an email to the dedicated KickCharter email address (kickCharter@afklcargo.com). You can only cancel before the deadline is reached. After the deadline, cancellations will not be taken into account and the full price will be charged to the customer.
