This seasonal peak starts at the end of January and lasts almost two weeks. During this time, we offer additional capacity via the Netherlands Antilles, making full use of our extensive network in the Andean and Caribbean regions.
Some of the roses from Ecuador are destined for the Russian and Asian markets and are transported via Amsterdam. Most come from Colombia.
Once in Amsterdam, some go on to Japan while most of the remainder is sent to Europe's best-known and largest flower auction, located right here in the Netherlands in the town of Aalsmeer. From there, the flowers of love are shipped to florists all across Europe to sell for Valentine's Day.
