Earlier this year, we encountered some problems managing import and export flows involving truck transport. The issues had a negative impact on processing times and on the quality of service that our customers expect of us. In January we set up a new business which we call Truck Flow Manager at the Cargo Control Centre. It falls under the responsibility of the European Support Operations Manager.
The project involves a team of eight people armed with an arsenal of new procedures and adapted digital tools. They are available 24/7 to coordinate truck movements, optimise flows, and solve any problems that might arise.
By monitoring our activities in real time, anticipating hazards, and coordinating the various actors, we can develop smoother truck routes.
