Love bloomed worldwide thanks to AFKLMP Cargo

GeneralFeb - 24, 2019
This year, from the last week of January to 9 February, AFKLMP Cargo has shipped hundreds of tonnes of flowers from four major origins – Kenya, Tanzania, Ecuador, and Colombia to Amsterdam – before flying onward to Russia, Japan, France, Italy, UK and, finally, to your local florist!!

During Valentine´s Day peak, we shipped over 24 million stems aboard passenger and full freighter aircraft as well as on an extra charter flights from Nairobi (Kenya). The most popular flower varieties were red roses such as Rhodos, Madame Red, and Ever Red!

This year, the pre-Valentine´s Day flower traffic suffered from heavy rains and poor climate conditions. But in view of the tonnage we shipped, there´s no doubt that love is stronger than bad weather.

As a caring carrier of fresh flowers, AFKLMP Cargo´s flower flow from Kenya and Colombia has been monitored and approved by FlowerWatch since 2019 – one more reason to trust our expertise.
